This year, the Global SME Finance Forum is taking place in South Africa as an official side event of the G20 where the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) will present its comprehensive roadmap to address the systemic barriers hindering SME access to finance.
Developed under the G20 Brazilian Presidency and published in December 2024, the Action Plan builds on earlier findings and calls on governments to promote a robust enabling environment for MSME financing and provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of financial interventions and mobilisation of private financing.
