Natalie van Graan is an experienced banking professional with over 37 years in the industry, currently serving as the Head for Trade & Working Capital Products for Southern Africa at Standard Chartered Bank. In this role, she oversees the delivery of Trade product objectives in alignment with global goals, managing financial and non-financial performance, enhancing product capabilities, and ensuring governance and risk management.
Prior to her tenure at Standard Chartered, Natalie spent 27 years at Absa Bank, where she held multiple leadership roles, including Product Manager for Receivable Services and Head of Guarantees, Letter of Credit, and Open Account Products for South Africa.
With extensive expertise in Trade products and a deep understanding of Southern Africa’s banking landscape, Natalie’s focus is on aligning product strategies with client needs and driving business growth while managing risk.
Outside of her professional life, Natalie is passionate about travel, history, and the arts. She is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts, particularly those that support impoverished communities and the education of children. She enjoys hiking and exploring nature and is married with two children.
