Jose Alejandro Ortiz Cordova

Alejandro Ortiz, MBA, 51 years old. I have been working at Banco Industrial for the past 31 years. During my tenor at the bank I have served as Manager of the bank´s brokerage firm, VP of Correspondent Banking in the International Division, VP of Corporate Banking and as of 2020 as Managing Director of the Commercial Banking Division. This division oversees MSME banking, our factoring and leasing business, as well as our banking agent network, our warehousing business and electronic invoicing. Our main goal is to target these market segments as efficiently and effectively as possible; approaching the large portion of the Guatemalan population that still do not use the financial system on a regular basis, and through our financial inclusion efforts, bring about the increase of formalization in the local economy. We are currently doing this through our extensive point of service network in the country, our commercial teams, as well as through the mobile and electronic banking capabilities we have developed over the years
