Jane Sithole is a politician who currently serves as a Deputy Minister of Small Business Development in Government of National Unity (GNU) since June 2024, and a Provincial Leader of the Mpumalanga Democratic Alliance (DA) from 2018 to date. The Deputy Minister’s political career started in 1999 when she joined the DA and served as a councillor of both the Emalahleni Local Municipality and the Nkangala District Municipality from 2000 until 2014.
She then proceeded in serving various political roles, including Chief Whip of Emalahleni Caucus (2007 to 2014), Provincial Chairperson for the Association of DA Councillors (ADAC) (2005 to 2011) and various committees from 2014 to 2024 (Public Works, Roads & Transport, Community Safety, Security & Liaison, Health, and Social Development, Education, Culture, Sport, and Recreation).
