Dr. Lankapathy Sritharan
Additional Director, Macroprudential Surveillance Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka
Dr. Sritharan is a senior central banking professional with over 20 years of experience in banking regulation, macroprudential policy, sustainable finance, ESG risk management, and regional development at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. During his career, he has held several leadership positions across bank supervision, public debt management, institutional risk management, regional operations, and macroprudential surveillance.
He also serves as a visiting lecturer at academic and professional institutions, including the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. His professional interests include sustainable and inclusive finance, ESG-related financial risks, SME development, and financial system resilience. He has published research papers and academic articles and has participated in international conferences and capacity-building programmes conducted by the IMF, World Bank, ADB, and SEACEN.
