Fatih Tuğrul Topaç
Chief Executive Officer, Export Development Türkiye (İGE)
Born in 1982, Fatih Tuğrul Topaç graduated from Marmara University’s Department of Economics (in English) in 2005. He began his professional career the same year as an Internal Auditor in the Internal Control Department at Kuveyt Türk Katılım Bankası.
Topaç worked as a bank inspector at Akbank and HSBC between 2006 and 2011, during which he was actively responsible for the audit of branch and head office units, as well as process audits and centralized audit activities, and gained significant experience in banking operations, internal control, and risk management processes.
Between 2011 and 2017, he worked as a Senior Banking Analyst and Strategy Specialist at Ata Yatırım, Yapı Kredi Bank, and TEB Yatırım. During this time, he specialized in balance sheet analysis of banks, sector-based modeling, and in-depth financial analysis of the banking industry. He also produced analytical and strategic content for the world’s leading institutional investors and portfolio management companies, and took an active role in roadshows and investor conferences in international financial centers, including New York, London, and Frankfurt.
From 2017 to 2022, Topaç served as Strategy Manager at Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası, where he led the bank’s medium and long-term strategic planning processes. In addition to managing strategic analysis, corporate transformation, and information technology projects, he managed units providing strategic consultancy to senior management. During his tenure, he led numerous critical projects in high-level strategic areas such as balance sheet management and macro-financial planning, as well as in product and business development, customer acquisition and loyalty, customer experience, and corporate communications.
Topaç joined İhracatı Geliştirme A.Ş. in November 2022 as Deputy General Manager responsible for Finance, Business Development and Human Resources. He has served as General Manager of İhracatı Geliştirme A.Ş. since June 2024 and was appointed Board Member of Türk Ticaret Bankası in August 2026.
