Angela M. Wambugu is the Director of Advisory Services for Africa at Women’s World Banking. She has over 20 years of experience in inclusive finance consulting, working with banks, MFIs and fintechs in different markets in Africa. She is instrumental in driving Women’s World Banking’s mission to create financial systems that empower women by ensuring financial sector policies, products and processes, meet the unique needs of women in Africa. In her role, she collaborates closely with financial institutions, fintech innovators, regulators, and policymakers to design and implement impactful, market-driven solutions that foster financial inclusion, promote economic resilience, and advance gender equality.
