Matthew Brown

Matthew is a financial inclusion expert with an over 20-year track record of leading, transforming and providing investment and advisory services to leading financial institutions serving micro and small businesses in emerging and frontier markets globally. He is currently a Senior Industry Specialist with the International Finance Corporation providing technical expertise to its global investment and advisory work in micro, SME, and digital finance. He also leads IFC’s global responsible finance initiatives. Prior to joining IFC, Matthew was the CEO of Fonkoze Financial Services in Haiti. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.
