Johann Choux
Regional Director - Southern Africa & Indian Ocean, Proparco
Johann Choux is the Regional Director for Southern Africa at Proparco, the private sector financing arm of the AFD Group. Based in Johannesburg, he leads a team covering 11 countries, including South Africa, Mauritius, Madagascar, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. At Proparco, he focuses on driving impactful private-sector investments across Southern Africa. Before joining Proparco in 2013, he worked in equity research at Natixis, strategy and corporate development at Boursorama, and corporate finance at PwC. He holds a degree from EDHEC Business School in France and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
