Nankhonde Kasonde-van den Broek is an international award-winning Executive Coach & Organizational Change Architect. She is the Founder & CEO at ZANGA African Metrics where the team helps CEOs and HR practitioners understand the competencies they have in the business using psychometric assessments and analytics for talent management and succession planning. She is a pioneer in the use of technology to develop relevant and accessible coaching and human capital development solutions for Africa. Solutions that understand and take into account the mosaic of cultural dimensions and the reality of building high performing teams in an emerging market context. Her philosophy of ‘African cultural and context centered design’ in leadership development comes from her complex worldview and shapes her impact.
Following a career working in international development and international finance globally, she returned to Zambia to pursue her purpose and desire to contribute to her country’s economy and the wider African development agenda. She is an accomplished professional with a wealth of African, international and multi-cultural experience in designing and leading large-scale change across multiple sectors.
In 2023 Nankhonde was inducted into the Coaching Legends by Thinkers50 in London. She is the recipient of the 2021 Thinkers50 Marshall Goldsmith Coaching & Mentoring award and has been recognized as a Global Guru in Coaching. Nankhonde sits on 2 corporate boards in Lusaka, Zambia and one non-profit Board in the Washington, D.C, United States. Nankhonde is married with 2 children and enjoys walking in nature, cooking, music and reading about African cultures and traditional wisdom.
