Elan Theeboom is ESG Lead at Arise B.V., a USD 1.1bn impact investor focused on strengthening Africa’s financial sector. With over two decades in sustainable finance and ESG advisory, Elan has supported banks in shaping their sustainability agendas, helped build the Africa ESG transaction advisory practice of major international consultancy, and has worked with Fortune 500 and African corporates on integrating sustainability into strategy and operations. He served as Head Tutor for the Oxford Saïd Business School’s Leading Sustainable Corporations executive education programme, engaging business leaders worldwide on ESG strategy, and is currently completing a Master’s in Leadership in Sustainable Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
