Danielle Lawrence

Danielle is a prominent FinTech leader and ecosystem builder, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Founding Executive of the Fintech Association of South Africa (FINASA). In this role, she is instrumental in advocating for regulatory reform, enabling cross-border investment, and positioning South Africa as a globally recognised FinTech hub. Through FINASA, Danielle champions the growth of a future-focused financial services sector rooted in inclusion, innovation, and responsible leadership.

A passionate advocate for gender equity and representation, Danielle is also a driving force behind African Women in FinTech & Payments (AWFP), a pan-African platform dedicated to amplifying the voices and visibility of women across the continent’s financial technology landscape. Through AWFP, she empowers and connects women leaders, fostering mentorship, collaboration, and meaningful participation in shaping Africa’s digital financial future.

In addition, Danielle serves as Co-Chair of the Industry Learning Committee at the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA), where she plays a critical role in guiding strategic learning and capability-building across the national payments ecosystem.

Complementing this ecosystem engagement is Danielle’s role as COO and Director at titc.io, a multi-service platform dedicated to accelerating growth for FinTechs across Africa. Originally founded as TalentintheCloud, the company has evolved under her leadership into a trusted partner offering executive talent search, strategic marketing, media engagement, and curated FinTech events. With a firm belief in commercial creativity, Danielle brings a unique blend of operational precision, strategic thinking, and market insight to every engagement.
