Bernard Ayitey- Adjin is an economist and financial sector expert with over 17 years of experience advancing financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, MSME growth, and private sector development. He has served in key roles at Ghana’s Ministry of Finance, Financial Sector and USAID Ghana, where he led initiatives in housing finance, agriculture finance, loan guarantees and entrepreneurship programs. Currently, Bernard is Lead, Access to Finance at the Mastercard Foundation, where he manages a $242 million program portfolio focused on unlocking finance for youth- and women-led enterprises. He holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Ghana and a certificate from Harvard Business School-Accion Program on Strategic Leadership in Inclusive Finance.
