Modise has an extensive global work experience in the financial services, management consulting and information technology sectors spanning more that 34 years.

His professional experience includes Investment Banking, SME Finance & Development, Fund Management, Insurance and Wealth Management. He worked for global signature companies including PWC, Rand Merchant Bank and Goldman Sachs.

Modise has been exposed to key Directorship and Business Leadership positions in Banking, Fund Management, Insurance, Mining, Agriculture, Business Strategy, Governance, Financial Sector Transformation, Banking Regulation, Non-Banking Regulation and Business Organisations.

He has served as a board member of global stock-exchange-listed and non-listed companies such as Deutsche Bank Securities South Africa, Rand Merchant Bank Structured Insurance, Land and Agricultural Bank of South Africa, Small Enterprise Foundation and Harmony Gold Mining.

Modise has served as committee member and leader of the Reserve Bank of South Africa, Financial Sector Conduct Authority of South Africa, the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals.
