Manoj Mittal

Mr. Manoj Mittal is the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), bringing over 3 decades of experience in the financial sector, particularly focused on MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) finance and development.
He previously served as MD & CEO of IFCI Limited, where he led the institution back to profitability after years of losses. Earlier, he spent five years as Deputy Managing Director at SIDBI, where he played a key role in designing and implementing SIDBI Vision 2.0, driving strategic initiatives for profitability, impact, and innovation in MSME and startup support. His notable contributions include the management of large venture capital operations, the Fund of Funds for Startups, retail credit portfolios, risk management, and launching major digital lending platforms.
He also has comprehensive experience in design, management and impact evaluation of various sustainability and developmental programs funded by multilateral agencies/ Government of India. He is a strong votary of Credit Plus approach for holistic development of MSMEs.
Mr. Mittal has a background in engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, a Postgraduate Degree in Economics, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
