Manar has over 25 years of professional banking experience in emerging markets with a focus on the Africa and Middle East regions.
In her role as a Women Banking Specialist, she led the design and implementation of landmark IFC Bank Advisory Services engagements in Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Lebanon, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine, and Pakistan. She also led the production of several research and thought leadership reports to help define the opportunity for banks in serving women markets.
Through her work, Manar helps leading banks recognize how financial institutions can create value by serving the women markets. Manar served IFC’s developmental agenda across key regions like Africa region, East & Central Europe region and the Global Women Banking program out of IFC headquarters in Washington, D.C.
