BOD-Executive Board Member, CGC-Egypt (Credit Guarantee Company)

Nagla Bahr is CGC-Egypt (Credit Guarantee Company of Egypt) BOD-Executive Board Member, where earlier she served as CGC-Egypt Managing Director for over nine years since 2015. She brings over 30 years of experience in economic and financial advisory across emerging markets, with a deep focus on MSME finance, risk-sharing mechanisms, and innovative guarantee product design.
Bahr chairs of the Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network (EMGN), she is the Coordinator of the African Continental for the Global Network of Guarantee Institutions (GNGI), and a founding member of the Arab Guarantee Network.
She has led the establishment, reform, and advisory support of multiple Guarantee schemes worldwide, and actively contributes to global working groups shaping the future of guarantee frameworks.
Her career includes roles with McKinsey, BP, Shell, FinBi, Moody’s Analytics, and USIS, and she serves on several boards and international committees focused on MSME development and financial inclusion.
Bahr holds a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Professional Economic Development. In 2019, she was recognized among Egypt’s Top 50 Most Influential Women.
